Discover, Learn, Care: Improve Health

The dynamic environment that encompasses the member institutions and faculty of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy is unparalleled. Our members’ resolute dedication to AACP’s core ideology – “to provide leadership in advancing the quality of pharmacy education at all levels” – is reflected in the teaching, research and service activities that take place within and outside our nation’s colleges and schools of pharmacy.

Pharmacy faculty create new knowledge and push the boundaries of discovery. They are especially committed to translating discovery into improved health outcomes for a growing number of Americans. Our educators seek the best way to ensure that student learning is optimal and focused on consensus-based educational outcomes aimed at ensuring patient safety and improving public health. Students and faculty together contribute thousands of volunteer hours collaborating with other health professionals and patients to create team-based approaches to care. Improved quality of care, including some of our nation’s neediest individuals and populations, is the direct result of service projects, programs and direct patient care efforts initiated by our members.

In short, the combined efforts of the faculty and students at America’s colleges and schools of pharmacy to discover, learn and care continue to improve the health of our nation.
