Fall Internship in Graphic Design 

Design Intern

Job level: unpaid intern (3 days per week), credit available

Field: Graphic Design

Job functions: graphic design, marketing

Description: AACP is looking for a graphic design intern to support the communications department with marketing materials and Academic Pharmacy Now, the magazine of the association. Position is three days per week, Sept-Dec, based on the intern’s fall semester schedule. Metro stipend is available.

Founded in 1900, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) is the national organization representing pharmacy education in the United States. The mission of AACP is to lead and partner with our members in advancing pharmacy education, research, scholarship, practice and service to improve societal health. AACP is comprised of all accredited colleges and schools with pharmacy degree programs accredited by ACPE, including more than 6,400 faculty, 60,000 students enrolled in professional programs and 5,100 individuals pursuing graduate study.


  • Assist with the creation of marketing collateral for Pharmacy Education 2014, AACP’s annual meeting, to include electronic communication, web graphics, program guide, and other related materials
  • Produce advertising for meetings and magazines and work on the design of the association magazine
  • Contribute to art meetings and other related communication team meetings
  • Other design opportunities as needed


  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Credit is available but not required
  • Photoshop and InDesign CS5/6
  • Strong sense of typography and layout
  • HTML
  • Microsoft Office suite
