1. Teachers of the YearAACP recognizes outstanding faculty at regular and associate member colleges and schools of pharmacy. The 2013 Teachers of the Year are selected by their institutions and submitted to AACP by their deans. Honorees will be listed in the 2013 Annual Meeting closing banquet program, and those in attendance will be recognized during the banquet and invited to a luncheon. CEO deans must use the online form to submit the names of nominated individual faculty members.
2. In MemoriamDuring the first session of the House of Delegates, AACP will announce the names of our colleagues in the Academy who have passed away since July 2012. Please submit information—including photos, if available—for the In Memoriam announcement. All photos must be in .jpg or .tiff formats with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and maximum image size of 5 MB.
3. Changes in Dean PositionsAACP collects changes in all dean positions (CEO, associate, assistant, interim, etc.). CEO dean updates are announced at the first session of the House of Delegates. All other individuals with new dean responsibilities, including associate and assistant deans, will be acknowledged during the Council of Deans meeting.

As part of the charge from President Bootman, the 2013 AACP Professional Affairs Committee issued a call to the Academy for successful practices between colleges and schools of pharmacy, state pharmacy association(s), and state boards of pharmacy. The full compilation of successful practices can be found on the AACP Web site.
National data from the AACP 2011/12 Financial Survey are now available. This survey was recently revised with assistance from the Administrative and Financial Officers SIG for the 2011/12 fiscal year. A highlight of the survey is a new section of key financial questions that will rotate periodically.
AACP announces a year-long leadership program designed to expand the capabilities of established faculty research scientists and administrators to cultivate collaborative team research and graduate education within and across institutions. Participants will gain experience in research-focused leadership, develop strategies to secure funding, and network with successful research leaders and advocacy groups. Applications are now being accepted for the Express Scripts Scholars Program. The program will provide four (4) $10,000 scholarships each year to enrolled dual degree students. The awarded students are given $2,500 per semester for four consecutive semesters, totaling $10,000 over two years. The application deadline is Wednesday, May 15, at 5:00 p.m. EDT. AAMCThe Association of American Medical Colleges opened registration for its2013 Integrating Quality Meeting. The meeting, an interprofessional program to share strategies for enhancing the culture of quality in clinical care and health professions education, will take place June 6-7 at the Intercontinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois.
NCPIEThe National Council on Patient Information and Education launched the Pass It Forward Video Challenge, a competition for young people aged 18-25.
