Register Today for the Experiential Education Workshop!

Online registration is now open for the Experiential Education Workshop, Sept. 27-29, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. This workshop is aimed at the unique needs of professional experience program administrators (faculty and administrative personnel) and will provide essential background information and resources while creating a support network of key contacts and peers. Two tracks are planned for this year’s workshop: Administration and Operations of Experiential Education and Development of Scholarship in Experiential Education. Registration is still open for a fifth regional meeting in Chicago, Ill. on Sept. 14. Continuing education credit is available for attendees. Academic Pharmacy Now Call for Stories

Has your college or school of pharmacy established a partnership with third party payors, such as health plans, employers or government agencies, to provide medication therapy management services, including via telephone, in your state? If so, we want to hear about it! Please submit your stories to Rebecca M. Morgan, AACP director of communications, by Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. EDT for inclusion in the Oct/Nov/Dec edition of Academic Pharmacy Now.

Call for Council of Faculties Chair Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for Council of Faculties chair for the term beginning in 2011 as chair-elect and ending in 2014 as immediate past chair. You may nominate yourself or an eligible colleague. Please e-mail Dr. Gary R. Matzke a copy of the candidate’s CV and if you are nominating yourself, please also provide a statement indicating why you desire to serve as chair of the Council. Individuals should submit the aforementioned documents by Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. For more information visit the AACP Web site.

Pearson to Host PCAT Webinar

Pearson is hosting a Webinar in September for the PCAT. Discussion will include the interpretation of PCAT scores to assist in your admission process and updates on the PCAT computer-based test. The Webinar will also be held via teleconference on: Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. CDT and Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. CDT.
