Hosted by the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG.
The pediatric population is often lacking data regarding medication utilization. It is a challenge to perform well-designed prospective clinical trials in the pediatric population and as such children are often not included in clinical trials for new drugs. This webinar aims to describe alternative methods for performing impactful research in the pediatric population with a focus on how an early career faculty member can get involved in these research efforts.
Objectives:
- Recognize challenges to performing research in the pediatric population.
- Identify various types of research that can be done in the pediatric population.
- Create research collaborations within an institution and among other institutions.
- Synthesize meaningful and publishable pediatric research questions while being an early career pharmacy faculty member.
