The EDI Institute will be hosted virtually on Zoom.
EDI 2023 - FAQs
The Institute begins at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 and concludes on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. ET. During scheduled meeting times, team members should anticipate attending presentations and/or team activities until approximately 5:45 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Thursday. See the Institute agenda for more details.
AACP encourages any faculty member, administrator, or staff person to attend, including participants at the 2022 EDI Institute. This institute would be particularly impactful for Curriculum and Assessment committee members along with Academic Affairs Deans. There is a special student rate, and we encourage teams to include the perspectives of students!
AACP member institutions are encouraged to coordinate team composition of up to 10 team members. Schools/Colleges with EDI committees may wish to send members of the committee, as well as other leaders. Attendees should be willing to commit designated time during the EDI Institute, as well as after, to ensure their plan is implemented.
Compared to the previous two EDI Institutes, the 2023 EDI Institute will have a more targeted theme: Contemporary Curriculum and Assessment Solutions Focused on Enhancing EDI. This year’s programming will build in some ways upon the 2021 and 2022 EDI Institutes, but previous attendance is not required by teams or individual members of teams.
Registration for the full institute is $179 per person, with the student rate being $99.
Registration will close on Friday, January 9, 2023 or when space is full.
Prior to registering, team composition should be determined, and schools/colleges are encouraged to have all team members register at the same time to ensure the full team can attend. The team maximum is 10 individuals per team. One person from the team/school can register the entire team via the online registration page. If you would like to register any students or staff who may not be listed in our records, please email AACP for assistance.
If an individual needs to register and pay separately, the AACP staff will make sure he or she is added to a team based on their school. If a school is unable to send a full team, individuals may still register for the institute using the online form and will be assigned a team for the Institute. Registration for the event is on a first-come, first-served basis. Credit card is the only form of payment method accepted.
A cancellation fee of 15 percent of the total team registration per school will be applied if the team withdraws from the Institute before January 9, 2023. No refunds will be given after January 10th.
Large keynote sessions and concurrent track sessions will be recorded (full recordings not guaranteed for track sessions due to constraints of the online platform capability), but mixed cohort sessions and team time sessions will not be recorded. The recordings will be made available a few weeks after the Institute is completed.
Questions regarding your registration or logistics (e.g. link to access virtual conference platform) should be directed to Megan Van Dam, Associate Director of Meetings.
To request a meeting registration refund or cancellation, please contact Janet Mudd, Staff Accountant.
Questions regarding program content should be directed to Sarah Shrader, Senior Director of Academic Programs and Professional Development.
CE credit is available for select sessions delivered on January 18-20, 2023. Please refer to the CPE activity announcement for specific CE credit information.
