This foundational module provides a brief update on the current state of community-based pharmacy practice and insight on how community pharmacy faculty members, preceptors, and pharmacy college or school staff can enhance and accelerate community-based pharmacy practice transformation efforts.

Target Audience

The target audience for this program includes faculty and staff at colleges and schools of pharmacy and pharmacy preceptors who want to expand their knowledge and competency related to community-based pharmacy practice transformation.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Outline successful strategies for transforming pharmacy from traditional dispensing to comprehensive patient care, including collaboration with team members 
  2. Identify examples of workflow adaptations for implementation of patient care services in the community pharmacy setting

Instructions for Claiming CPE Credit

Please go to the LECE site at: https://aacp.learningexpressce.com/ and click the “Distance” tab. Select the “Implementation of Patient Care Services within Pharmacy Operations” link and click the “Continue” button. Login to LECE if you are a registered user or create an account if you are a new user. Verify that your NABP e-Profile ID and birthdate are correctly entered in your LECE profile and correspond with your NABP record. Confirm your selection and click the “Continue” button. After you have successfully registered for the program, you will be able to view the recorded module and associated handout(s). To obtain CPE credit, you must view the module in its entirety, complete the post-assessment, achieving a score of 100%, and the evaluation. All required components must be completed by 1/31/2027.
