Hosted by the Geriatric Pharmacy SIG.
The pharmacy academy is richly age-diverse, with age ranges of both students and faculty spanning many decades. By fusing storytelling with emerging evidence of the benefits of age-inclusivity, this session aims to help attendees think differently about generational labels and leverage the strengths of others. The target audience for this session is all educators who are interested in addressing their own biases regarding age to optimize multigenerational collaboration in their personal and professional lives. This is an encore presentation from the 2024 AACP Annual Meeting.
Objectives:
- Describe strategies to address biases surrounding age in the workplace, classroom, and clinical settings.
- Discuss methods of bridging experience gaps to leverage strengths in the workplace, classroom, and clinical settings.
- Formulate strategies to combat ageism in their personal and professional lives.
