Hosted by the Pharmacogenomics SIG.

Recently, the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) has begun the process of assessing the need for development of a pharmacogenomics certification. Given that approval of such a certification may impact many members of the Pharmacogenomics SIG, we believe our group would be interested in hearing from a panel of leaders in pharmacogenomics education on this topic.

Objectives:

  • Describe the potential benefits and drawbacks of a pharmacogenomics BPS certification
  • Identify how a BPS certificate in Pharmacogenomics may fit into the current advanced environment of advanced pharmacogenomics training offered through other venues, such as certificate programs and fellowships
