Using Microcredentials and the Pharmacist eCare Plan to Highlight Hearing Self-Care Education and OTC Recommendation Documentation
Hosted by the Self-Care Therapeutics/Nonprescription Medicine SIG
Tired of covering the same-old topics and technologies in your self-care or community pharmacy focused course? This webinar will review two technologies that can be used in the classroom, micro-credentialing and the Pharmacist eCare Plans. Presenters will discuss how these technologies can be incorporated into the self-care classroom as a way to introduce teaching about OTC hearing aids and eCare planning in the community setting.
Objectives
- Demonstrate how microcredentials can be used to teach unique subject domains like OTC hearing aids.
- Demonstrate two platforms that can be used to teach Pharmacist eCare Plans to document OTC encounters in a community setting.
- Examine the principles of andragogy met by microcredentials and online learning.
- Summarize students’ pre- and post-activity knowledge of Pharmacist eCare Plans and their performance documenting Pharmacist eCare Plans.
