Target Audience:
This educational activity is designed for all pharmacy educators including department chairs, assistant and associate deans, leaders in assessment, leaders in experiential education, leaders in student affairs, and anyone interested in developing or enhancing leadership skills.

Session 1: Developing Effective Teams
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Compare and contrast the 5 practices of healthy teams versus dysfunctional teams.
- Understand a leader's role in building a healthy team or addressing the five team dysfunctions.
- Compare and contrast methods to select team members with how teams are created in colleges and schools of pharmacy.
- Evaluate how to function as an effective team members.

Session 2: Senior Leadership Teams
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Understand the conditions for senior leadership team effectiveness.
- Evaluate whether a situation warrants an integrated senior leadership team.
- Understand the four major types of senior leadership teams.
- Create sound structures for senior leadership team success.
- Establish a method to evaluate, reward, and reposition senior leadership team members.

Continuing Education Credit:
AACP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Leading Forward: Leading Effective Teams (UAN: 0581-0000-17-131-L04-P) has been designed as an application-based CPE activity. Pharmacists may earn up to 7.50 contact hours or 0.750 CEUs following the successful completion of the CE activity requirements.
Continuing Education Credit Requirements:
Attendees must complete and submit the CE session evaluation by accessing the online AACP Continuing Education Administration software program, Learning Express CE (LECE). Login or create your account with your AACP e-mail and password if you don’t already have a profile on LECE. (Please verify that your NABP e-Profile ID and birthdate are correctly entered in your LECE profile and correspond with your NABP record. Failure to ensure this information is identical in both programs will jeopardize your earning CE credits.) Click on the “Pending/Private CPD Activity” link on the menu bar. Enter the registration/access code in the search box and click on the "Register" button. (The registration/access code will be provided at the completion of the workshop.) Select the “AACP Regional Leadership Workshop: Leading Forward: Leading Effective Teams” link to register for the workshop. With the access code provided at the workshop, complete the evaluation. Completion of the evaluation is required to earn continuing education credits. Attendees will have four weeks following the Regional Leadership Workshop to complete the evaluation. Access to the activity evaluation in LECE will be denied after Friday, December 1, at 11:59 p.m. ET. You may print “proof of participation” from the system for your records. Pharmacists should login to their NABP e-profile to access information about their completed CPE and to print a valid statement of credit if needed.
Fees:
Registration for Leading Forward is $349 per person for AACP members and $449 per person for non-members.
