Hosted by the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG.
This webinar is intended to provide faculty/administrators with resources and ideas to consider for incorporation into the curriculum the caring for pediatric patients in the community pharmacy setting. As a lot of pediatric content is typically taught in an elective format and many graduates of pharmacy enter community practice upon graduation, it is important that students are prepared to care for pediatric patients in the community setting. This webinar could be of interest to the members of the Curriculum SIG (and others) as it seeks to address a potential need for preparing ALL student pharmacists to be Practice-Ready specifically with our pediatric patients.
Objectives:
- Design a curriculum incorporating pediatric content pertaining to community-based pharmacists.
- Effectively deliver pediatric-specific content in a school of pharmacy.
- Prepare students to effectively counsel pediatric patients in a community pharmacy setting.
