Student Pharmacist APPE
Association Management Rotation at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
This elective Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) provides student pharmacists with a unique and innovative opportunity to mature professionally in accordance with their individual interests. During this virtual rotation, students will work closely with a variety of association leaders, including senior directors and vice presidents. As a part of the AACP team, the student will participate in daily association management practices while contributing to the various programs, products, and services offered to AACP members in alignment with the association's strategic plan. The rotation is designed to be 4-6 weeks in duration. Available rotation months are generally September, October, January, March, and April. This is planned to be a completely virtual rotation. Application Process
Student pharmacists interested in being considered for the AACP APPE Program should submit all required materials to APPE@aacp.org by November 1, 2024.
Required materials include:
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of Intent (include what you seek to gain from the rotation and how you believe the rotation will help with your future career plans)
- Two letters of recommendation (one letter must be from a current faculty member)
Selection Process
AACP staff will review all complete applications. If staff requires more information about your application or interest in the program, phone interviews may be conducted. All students will be notified of their placement status by end of November/early December.
