Hosted by AACP and Liaison
The session will describe Liaison's new Explore Health Careers Program, which is intended to facilitate the application process for "other CAS" applicants who applied to and were denied admission to one health profession program and have agreed to be considered for admission by the college or school of pharmacy at the same institution. Attendees will learn how the program may eliminate the need for eligible applicants to complete a second CAS application and resend transcripts during the same admissions cycle and assist pharmacy schools in complying with the PharmCAS participation policy. Pharmacy school representatives who participated in the pilot phase of the program will share lessons learned and related admission outcomes.
Objectives:
- Identify the applicant eligibility requirements for the program.
- Understand the requirements and considerations for institutional participation in the program.
- Describe the process, including the limitations associated with the transfer of application data, transcripts, and GPAs.
- Understand the considerations and opportunities for institutions that opt to participate in the program, as well as alternatives.
