Instructions for Claiming CPE Credit for Recorded Webinar:

Please go to the LECE site at: https://aacp.learningexpressce.com/ and click the “Distance” tab. Select the “Accommodations in the Skills Lab Setting - Challenges and Areas of Opportunity” link and click the “Purchase Now” button. Login to LECE if you are a registered user or create an account if you are a new user. Verify that your NABP e-Profile ID and birthdate are correctly entered in your LECE profile and correspond with your NABP record. Confirm your selection and enter the promotional code in the “Coupon” box. (AACP members should go to AACP Connect to obtain the promotional code). Click the “Apply Coupon” followed by the “Purchase” button to complete the transaction. If you are a non-member, please enter your payment details and click the “Purchase” button. After you have successfully registered for the program, you will be able to view the recorded webinar. To obtain CPE credit, you must view the webinar in its entirety, complete the post-assessment, achieving a score of 75% or higher, and the evaluation. Pharmacists must complete all CPE requirements for the home study by 4/12/2026.

A case-based approach will be used to discuss various challenges related to accommodations in the skills laboratory setting and speakers from each institution will discuss their approach to each challenge. The webinar will also review the importance of effective communication across stakeholders in the program to appropriately develop accommodations plans that encompass the full curriculum, including the skills lab. Finally, we will discuss opportunities to utilize the skills lab course to optimize accommodations plans prior to implementation of accommodations in the practice environment.

Target Audience

This webinar is designed for pharmacists, laboratory instructors and other pharmacy educators.

  1. Identify challenges encountered with developing and implementing accommodations in skills laboratory courses 
  2. Discuss strategies for providing equitable learning experiences for students with disabilities in the laboratory setting. 
  3. Describe the importance of relevant communication regarding accommodations amongst stakeholders in the curriculum and approaches to facilitate collaboration. 
  4. Explain opportunities to utilize the skills lab course to optimize accommodations plans prior to implementation in the practice environment.

Accommodations in the Skills Lab Setting - Challenges and Areas of Opportunity (UAN: 0581-0000-23-025-L99-P and 0581-0000-23-025-H99-P) is designed as a knowledge-based CPE activity and is approved for 1-hour of continuing pharmacy education credit (0.1 CEU).  To obtain CPE credit for the live webinar, pharmacists must attend the webinar on 4/12/2023, register and complete a CE post-assessment with a passing score of 75% and an evaluation via the AACP Continuing Education Administration program, Learning Express CE (LECE). The deadline to complete the CPE requirements for the live webinar is 5/12/2023. 
Pharmacists who wish to complete the webinar as a home study CE, must register, view the webinar in its entirety, complete the post-assessment and evaluation before the CE expiration date of 4/12/2026. 

LECE will transmit the CPE credit information to the regulatory bodies at NABP and ACPE upon successful completion of the CPE requirements. Pharmacists should login to their NABP e-profile to access information about their completed CPE and to print a valid statement of credit if needed.

The webinar is being conducted through the GoToWebinar platform. Access to GoToWebinar is necessary to participate in the live version of the webinar.
