Hosted by the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG

Oftentimes, pharmacy students and pharmacists have limited to no experience providing pediatric vaccinations. This can often be due to comfort level, state laws, or lack of sufficient training when managing pediatric patients. In this webinar, we will discuss how these skills can be taught to students and will share ways to become “vaccine myth busters” to address and overcome vaccine hesitancy and misinformation.

Objectives

  1. Describe the implementation of a pediatric immunization training program for student pharmacists.
  2. Identify ways to address and overcome vaccine hesitancy in the pediatric patient population.
  3. Identify strategies to address vaccine misinformation in the pediatric patient population.
