Engaging stakeholders in research can lead to impactful and relevant research questions, equity, transparency in the research process, faster application of findings, and better health outcomes for community members. This webinar aims to enhance participants' skills and knowledge in effectively engaging stakeholders through Community Advisory Boards for health research. By exploring real-life examples from advisory boards, participants will gain practical insights and strategies to establish, manage, and optimize Community Advisory Boards.
Objectives:
- Understand the principles and benefits of engaging diverse community stakeholders in health research.
- Identify strategies for forming and sustaining effective community advisory boards.
- Learn from the experiences and outcomes of current CABs focused on Black family health, pharmacists, youth, and Black prostate cancer survivors.
- Develop skills to bridge research with impactful health outcomes through community and stakeholder engagement.
