Hosted by the Graduate Education SIG
There are many career options for graduate students and postdoc trainees, however, a survey by the Colleagues in Training Committee showed that trainees are not fully aware of their options, and how to navigate and prepare for a niche career. This webinar was created in response to the many requests on the survey for such a webinar.
Objectives:
- Describe the career options for science trainees, including industry, academia, and government
- Develop a plan for obtaining a position in a specific profession/career
- Formulate discussions about career goals, for both the trainee and mentor
- Classify items that lead to “imposter syndrome”.
