One of the ongoing struggles in teaching pharmacy students, is how to get them to understand that clinical decision making will always be fraught with hesitancy, uncertainty and ambiguity. This webinar will describe the concepts of uncertainty and ambiguity in clinical decision-making in order to develop activities for application in different types of classroom settings. Examples of how to promote confidence in decision-making will be discussed. 

Objectives:

  • Compare and contrast the concepts of undercertainty and ambiguity in clinical decision-making
  • Apply these concepts to clinical decision-making activities in pharmacy teaching and learning
  • Discuss how to incorporate confidence in decision-making for pharmacy students.
