Hosted by the Health Disparities and Cultural Competence SIG and Public Health SIG.
Pharmacists and student pharmacists face challenges in helping patients achieve positive health outcomes within many practice settings due to the lack of access to medications in vulnerable populations. This webinar seeks to provide a better understanding of available resources for accessing medication and pharmacy services within local communities. The presentation will broadly discuss incorporating topics and resources related to the health disparity of lack of medication access into didactic and experiential teaching.
Objectives:
- Describe the resources available to support medication access within communities and nationally.
- Describe resources available to faculty and students to provide guidance on improving access to medications for vulnerable populations.
- Discuss strategies for implementing the resources into teaching and practice.
