The presentation will highlight various pharmaceutical calculations specific bridging program initiatives implemented at different educational institutions. It will emphasize on identifying the need of bridging initiatives, to support struggling students and aid in their seamless transition into pharmacy-based calculations. Attendees will gain insights into the methods, tools, and resources used to bridge the gap and help students transform their struggles into successful solutions.

Objectives:

  • Identify the need for a pharmaceutical calculations-specific bridging program for incoming first-year students in the professional Doctor of Pharmacy program.
  • Assess validated pharmaceutical calculations specific bridging programs implemented in multiple Doctor of Pharmacy programs nationally.
  • Develop customized pharmaceutical calculations specific bridging programs tailored to address the identified gaps and needs of incoming first-year Doctor of Pharmacy students.
