Hosted by the Curriculum SIG and the Technology in Pharmacy Education and Learning SIG

With the American Diabetes Association’s support of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) for all patients on insulin, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of CGM. There is little information published on the logistics of incorporating CGM into pharmacy curricula. This session will provide examples and outline key considerations for implementing CGM education into skills labs, didactic courses, specialty electives, and experiential education. The session’s goal is for participants to take away a framework for implementing CGM education in their courses.

Target Audience

This webinar is designed for pharmacists and pharmacy educators.

Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Outline the relevance of including CGM content into pharmacy curricula.
