In this engaging and informative webinar, our speakers (Dr. Larry Leung, Dr. Jason Min, Dr. Dana-Lynn Ko'omoa-Lange, and Amy Lamb, BSP) will discuss the decolonization of pharmacy education and practice, describe the history of colonization of Canada and its impact on the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Peoples, and present culturally grounded approaches to address indigenous health and education disparities.
Participants will learn about the creation of both mandatory and elective courses on Indigenous Health and Cultural Safety in pharmacy education, the building of innovative pharmacy service models to support Indigenous self-governance and Indigenous-led health transformation in pharmacy practice.
