Pharmacy Education 2025

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy invites members to submit topics for the roundtable discussions held on Sunday, July 20 and Monday, July 21 at Pharmacy Education 2025 in Chicago, Illinois.

The roundtable sessions are intended for informal discussions of pressing current topics important to the Academy. They provide a venue to both share and learn from other colleges and schools.

Reminders

  • Please review the criteria for the roundtable topics prior to submitting your proposal. 
  • If accepted, AACP does not assume responsibility for costs associated with presenting at the meeting. 
  • All roundtable submitters and facilitators must be AACP members. 
  • All facilitators must be registered attendees at the 2025 Annual Meeting.
  • There should only be one facilitator per roundtable topic.
  • Roundtables that include reference to commercially available products or services must include fair balance for other resources in the same category.
  • Exhibitors/Sponsors/Promotional products, goods, and services are prohibited.

Submitting a Roundtable Discussion Topic

  • All topics must be submitted online to Tim Bloom, Council of Sections Immediate Past Chair, by Monday, April 7, 2025.
  • If you have suggestions for a roundtable facilitator, please submit the name of the potential facilitator along with the suggested topic.
  • When submitting your roundtable topic, please submit up to two objectives as to what information participants will take away from the discussion.
  • For topics that receive multiple submissions, roundtable facilitators will be selected for the Sunday and Monday sessions.
  • Email notifications regarding which topics have been selected will be sent to submitters in mid- May.

Criteria for Selection

Each roundtable topic submission will be evaluated on the following three criteria: originality, applicability, and objectives.

  • Originality – Does the proposal present new ideas, concepts, or approaches? Does it offer new perspectives for the roundtable discussion?
  • Applicability – Is the topic area applicable to one or more academic pharmacy constituents? Will the information aid attendees in their academic activities?
  • Objectives – Do the objectives indicate information the participants will reasonably take away from the discussion?

Roundtable Discussion Session Logistics

  • Meeting participants will have the opportunity to select and rotate three times between up to twenty-five tables.
  • Each facilitator will have three groups of approximately nine people.
  • Each rotation will be approximately 17 minutes.
  • Unfortunately, PowerPoint presentations, Internet, posters and other A/V equipment are not possible in this setting.
  • Facilitators may provide handouts; however, handouts are not required.
