The Centers of Excellence will serve as ambassadors for pharmacy academia through convenings with leaders in pharmacy and healthcare, uniting to mobilize and amplify community pharmacy practice transformation efforts. These trailblazers will inspire and inform community pharmacy advancement across the pharmacy academy.

Community Pharmacy Centers of Excellence Program Overview

The Academia-Community Transformation (ACT) Pharmacy Collaborative will recognize schools and colleges of pharmacy who are committed to advancing community pharmacy practice. Schools and colleges will be invited to submit an application to be recognized as a Center of Excellence based on commitment to community pharmacy advancement in the following areas: teaching, service, scholarship, and leadership/partnership support. Centers of Excellence will be recognized at the AACP Annual Meeting, and the designation will remain for a total of 5 years once achieved. After this time, schools/colleges will be invited to resubmit to maintain the designation.

ACPE-accredited schools and colleges of pharmacy.

Application Review

Eligibility Review

  • AACP staff will confirm that accredited schools completed the entire application, and the application will be moved through a peer review evaluation process.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Reviewers will look for evidence that the school/college is committed to advancing community pharmacy practice through teaching, service, scholarship and leadership support. The strength of evidence provided will determine if the program is designated as a Center of Excellence or an Emerging Center of Excellence.

Volunteer Form: 2024 Annual Meeting Trainee Poster Competition Judges

2024 Trainee Poster Competition Judges

AACP is seeking volunteers to serve as Judges for this year’s Trainee Poster Abstract Competition, which will be conducted prior to the Pharmacy Education 2024. Trainee Poster Judging Competition will take place online on CadmiumCD platform from June 24, 2024, to June 27, 2024.  If you are available during that time and would like to serve as a Trainee Poster Judge, please complete this volunteer form below by June 3, 2024. This volunteer submission form will open from May 20–June 3, 2024.

After the sign-up closes, judges will be provided with the evaluation criteria and instructions on how to review and score the presentations of the Trainee Poster Competition Finalists in a separate email. Judges will be grouped in teams of three and will be provided with the contact information of the other judges on their assigned team. 

Trainee Poster Competition Finalists will display their posters live in Boston, Massachusetts. Trainee Poster Winners will be announced at the 2024 AACP Annual Meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: To serve as a judge, you must be an active member of AACP and must be registered for the 2024 Annual Meeting to access the trainee poster competition abstracts on CadmiumCD platform. Judges should have at least two years of experience as faculty in pharmacy education; preferably with research experience.

One poster will be recognized in each category:
  1. Student pharmacist
  2. Graduate student
  3. Resident, fellow or post-doctoral trainee

Specific information about various submission types and their associated deadlines can be found below. AACP members will submit school posters, annual meeting programming proposals, research and education poster abstracts through the submission portals in the Cadmium Abstract Scorecard.
